Overview

    I am a student of aerospace engineering at Iowa State University, with a strong interest in aircraft design and design software development. I am seeking employment as a Web or software developer, not necessarily in the aerospace sector.

Web Development

     My skill set for web development includes PHP, CSS, DHTML, Ruby on Rails, Javascript and MySQL. I am also familar with Apache server management and CVS source control in a *nix environment. I place a strong emphasis on creating websites that are cross-platform compatible and standards-compliant.

    In the past I have used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for graphics creation and manipulation, and am comfortable with these programs. Now I use the open source tools Inkscape and the Gimp.

Software Development

    My primary tools for software development are C++ and the Qt GUI toolkit. I have written several programs in the Qt toolkit, implementing such features as multi-paged layouts, web integration, file IO and XML integration. Recently I have written Word, Excel and Access macros in VBA, as well as used C# and winforms to develop windows applications.
